The Jacksonville Jaguars traded down in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. So what did they get in return?
After trading away their second-round pick on Day 1 as part of the deal that landed them Travis Hunter, the Jaguars didn’t have a second-round pick this year.
Pick 70 in the third round was going to be their first selection on Day 2, but GM James Gladstone opted to move back instead in a trade with Detroit.
According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN, the Jaguars received pick 102 in the third round of this year’s draft and two third-round picks in the 2026 draft from Detroit. They would trade away picks 70 and 182 in the sixth-round this year.
Of course, this doesn’t replace the first-round selection that the Jaguars sent to Cleveland on Day 1, but it does give them two additional top-100 selections next year, and those could be quite valuable.
As we’ve already seen from Gladstone, that’s additional draft picks–and fairly valuable ones–that can be utilized next April to navigate that draft board as he sees fit.
Jaguars’ remaining picks for 2025 NFL draft
- Round 3 – No. 88 overall (from Minnesota)
- Round 3 – No. 102 overall (from Detroit)
- Round 4 – No. 104 (From Cleveland)
- Round 4 – No. 107 overall
- Round 5 – No. 142 overall
- Round 6 – No. 194 overall (from Seattle)
- Round 6 – No. 200 (from Cleveland)
- Round 7 – No. 221 overall
