The NBA playoffs are in full swing and the Oklahoma City Thunder have continued their dominant stretch in the first round.

Oklahoma City got off to a dominant start in their first round series against the Memphis Grizzlies as they won Game 1 by 51 points.

They then backed that up with a 19-point victory in Game 2 before completing a 29-point comeback in Game 3 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Oklahoma City will now look to advance to the next round of the playoffs by sweeping their way past Memphis in Game 4 on Saturday.

Of course, the Thunder have been led by MVP finalist Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who has put together an incredible season.

Despite Shai and the Thunder’s dominance this season, they have not been talked about nationally as much as some may think, including two-time MVP Steve Nash who recently called on the NBA to make a massive decision.

“The guy that the league should be putting everywhere, and the Thunder, they should be everywhere,” Nash said about Shai and the Thunder needing more national attention. “Like, I know it’s not a big market but put the (Los Angeles) Lakers, put the (New York) Knicks and OKC at every chance we get.”

Of course, most of the attention shown by the league and networks that cover it, such as ESPN and Fox Sports, caters to the larger markets, including the Lakers, Knicks and Golden State Warriors.

Because of this, some smaller market teams such as the Thunder do not get the national attention that they deserve despite them ending with the best record in the NBA after a historic season.

Oklahoma City has continued their dominance in the playoffs but they still have seen as much attention as other teams, which Nash pointed out.

There is no doubt that the Thunder need more national attention with them being one of the best teams in the league and with Shai blossoming into one of the best players in the league.
