After being selected at 14th overall by the Indianapolis Colts, tight end Tyler Warren met with the local media to answer questions.

In case you missed it, here are the highlights from the interview.

– Warren says he met with the Colts at the NFL combine and came to Indianapolis for a 30 visit. He said he “really enjoyed” his meeting with the staff and enjoyed being there. “It’s a great place to go play football.”

– Warren says he and the Colts didn’t discuss the specifics of his role, but he will come in and do whatever is asked of him to the best of his ability.

– “It’s just as important as anything else I do,” Warren said of blocking. “Having the right mentality and violent intentions” is part of it, but so is playing with proper technique.

– Warren says being able to impact the passing game and running game allows him to help the rest of the offense and open up things for the rest of the offense.

– Warren says during his first year of tackle football, when he was eight years old, his dad showed him John Riggins highlights, and that’s why Warren has worn No. 44.

– Warren says he’s not concerned about being the second tight end taken. “I’m just excited to be a Colt.”
