There’s a whole lot of chatter about Shedeur Sanders dropping in the 2025 NFL Draft, as questions swirl about whether the Colorado QB is a top-10 talent.
Interestingly enough, in our final NFL mock draft of 2025, our Christian D’Andrea has the New Orleans Saints trading up to get Sanders at No. 4. And in the final ESPN big board, Mel Kiper Jr. has Sanders at No. 5 … one spot ahead of presumed No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward. Hmmm!
Could this mean we’re all sleeping on Sanders? Here’s what Kiper had to say about the Colorado QB in that last big board:
You won’t find a tougher or more resilient quarterback prospect than Sanders, who took 99 sacks over the past two seasons but still put up really strong numbers. I’m always impressed watching him throw on the move, rolling either left or right. He is very accurate in those spots and has the arm to drive the ball. When his mechanics and footwork are sound, he can pick apart a defense. And while he’s not necessarily a major rushing threat, he can keep the chains moving with his legs when there is an opening.
Intriguing! Make sure to check out the latest mock from D’Andrea, along with a live mock from around the USA TODAY Network. There’s also our list of every team’s biggest needs.
