Apr. 21—APPLE VALLEY — The Lumberjacks officially have another strong tournament showing under their belts.
The Bemidji High School boys volleyball team finished fifth at the Big Bolt Classic at Eastview High School on Saturday, ending the weekend with a two-set victory over Maple Grove.
Competing in pool three, the Lumberjacks secured three-set wins over Burnsville (25-10, 22-25, 15-7) and Harding (25-10, 22-25-15-7) on Friday. On Saturday, BHS suffered a loss to Shakopee in the final round of pool play, losing both sets by scores of 25-19.
However, the Jacks bounced back in the fifth-place semifinals by earning a three-set victory over Rosemount (14-25, 25-20, 15-11). Bemidji capped off the weekend by defeating Maple Grove in two sets by scores of 26-24 and 25-13, effectively securing fifth place.
