He may have taken almost two months to put pen to paper, but LaBryan Ray is officially back with the Carolina Panthers.
The 27-year-old defensive lineman signed his exclusive right tender on Monday, as the team welcomed players back for the first session of offseason workouts. Carolina announced they had placed the tender on Ray back on March 7.
A two-time national champion at the University of Alabama, Ray cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2022. He’d then sign with Carolina the next summer following a one-season stint as a member of the United States Football League’s Philadelphia Stars.
Each of Ray’s 33 career games in the NFL have come in a Panthers uniform. He made nine of his 10 starts during the 2024 campaign, where he recorded 41 combined tackles and a sack.
Ray’s tender will pay out $1.03 million for the 2025 season.
