Per On3’s Talia Goodman, former LSU women’s basketball center Aalyah Del Rosario committed to Vanderbilt on Monday.
The former five-star recruit entered the transfer portal in early April, following Sa’Myah Smith and Last-Tear Poa. The pair has since committed to Virginia and Arizona State, respectively.
Del Rosario spent two seasons playing for head coach Kim Mulkey. She saw the most time as a freshman, playing in every game and averaging 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. In her sophomore season, she struggled to see the court.
Despite her six-foot-six stature, Del Rosario didn’t make the same impact in her second year at LSU. She played on 28 contests but saw most of her minutes as a later quarter sub or mob up time when the Tigers went up big. In her career, she made 65 appearances with one start.
The Commodores went 22-11 this season, making it to the NCAA Tournament. They’ll look to build further around the SEC Freshman of the Year in Mikayla Blakes. Del Rosario is the first transfer to commit to Vanderbilt in the 2025 spring window.
