New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was named as a potential draft week trade candidate by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

With the addition of Stefon Diggs and potentially another wide receiver talent in the draft, the Patriots could be looking to shake things up at one of the primary trouble spots on their roster.

Boutte, a sixth-round pick in 2023, has played two seasons for New England, but last year could be viewed somewhat as a breakout year for the former LSU star. He caught 43 receptions for 589 yards and three touchdowns. In a year where quarterback Drake Maye had few reliable targets, Boutte was a player who stepped up on offense.

The Patriots are a rebuilding team, and they could use Boutte as part of a trade package to move up on the draft board or to simply acquire an extra draft pick.

For a team with few receiving weapons, they’ll need a good backup plan in place to replace the production Boutte gave them last season.
