One of the Spartans’ top linebacker targets in the 2026 class will announce his college decision in a few days.
Jacob Savage of Union, Ky. revealed on Sunday that he will announce his college decision on this upcoming Friday at 2:45 p.m. ET. Savage will announce his college decision from his high school.
Savage is a three-star prospect on 247Sports, and holds a rating of 87. He ranks as the No. 59 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is also listed as the No. 5 player from Kentucky and No. 663 overall prospect in the class.
According to 247Sports, Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue are the top three contenders for Savage’s commitment. There are, however, no crystal ball predictions for Savage at this time.
Savage holds offers from nearly 20 schools, including Michigan State, according to 247Sports. He is currently scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan State on May 30.
