The New England Patriots have the fourth overall pick of the 2025 NFL draft, and coach Mike Vrabel recently discussed the possibility of using that pick on an offensive tackle.
When asked if an offensive tackle was worth the No. 4 pick, Vrabel didn’t give a direct answer to the question.
“I think there are some tackles who will come in and start… Do I think there are starters who are left tackles in this draft? Yes I do,” said Vrabel, via MassLive’s Mark Daniels.
If Vrabel believes there are multiple starting caliber offensive tackles in this draft, it might also mean the Patriots don’t believe they will be forced to pick one at No. 4.
LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell is a name that has been thrown around a lot during the pre-draft process. The Patriots could desperately use offensive line depth, and Campbell would be a solid option. However, the Patriots also have several other holes to fill.
Is Vrabel leaving the door open for a surprise first-round pick?
Is there a tackle in this class that’s worthy of the No. 4 pick?

Vrabel has hinted at the Patriots taking the best available player on the draft board. That position might or might not align with their need at offensive tackle.
If Penn State’s Abdul Carter and Colorado’s Travis Hunter are both gone at No. 4, the Patriots would suddenly become the most intriguing team in the draft.
What will they ultimately decide to do?
