JAMESTOWN — Maplewood senior Levi Willison led the Tigers to a 14-0 Region 3 win over Jamestown on Friday.

Willison struck out 11 and walked four in a five-inning, complete-game effort.

The Tigers out-hit the Muskies 13-0. PJ Hirosky and Kyle Jordan each had three hits. Chase Koelle and Elijah Hochstetler each had two hit.

Maplewood is 5-3 on the year and is scheduled to play at Rocky Grove on Wednesday.

Tigers top Sailors

GUYS MILLS — The Maplewood softball team beat Lakeview 11-1 behind a dominant Rhinn Post performance.

Post fanned 10 in a six-inning effort. The senior allowed three hits and no earned runs.

Maplewood had four hits and was walked nine times.

The Tigers are 2-2 overall and are scheduled to host Conneaut on Monday.

Spa edges Sharpsville

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS — The Cambridge Springs softball team defeated Sharpsville 4-3 on Friday.

Junior ace Kayla Crawford fanned 10 and allowed one earned run in a complete-game effort.

Aubrie Crawford and Quinn Eaglen each had two hits. Jada Murawski had two RBIs.

Cambridge Springs is 6-1 overall and 3-1 in Region 2.

Bulldogs fall 8-5

The Meadville baseball team lost to Harbor Creek 8-5 on Friday.

Jacoby Thompson led the Bulldogs with three hits. Bradyn Miller added two hits.

Rocco Woodrow struck out four in four innings of work. The ‘Dogs are 3-6 on the season and are scheduled to host Fort LeBoeuf on Wednesday.
