Jon Gruden has reinvented himself after his NFL coaching career abruptly ended in 2021 due to the email controversy surrounding him and the then-Washington Redskins. The NFL essentially forced the Raiders to fire Gruden, who then sued the league.
Between his head coaching stints, Gruden served as the voice of Monday Night Football on ESPN for nine years. Gruden also hosted “Jon Gruden’s QB Camp,” where he grilled all of the draft’s top quarterbacks. These days, Gruden is with Barstool Sports and almost daily posts hilarious videos on his X, opening team-issued gear from colleges — big and small — and NFL teams.
In the latest episode of “Gruden Goes Long,” the longtime former coach spoke with Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. Gruden and his younger brother, Jay, are huge fans of Daniels. Jay Gruden was Washington’s head coach from 2014-19. These days, Jay also works in the media, often covering his former team.
Jon Gruden’s interview with Daniels was the first time the two had met. It was an excellent interview, with Daniels offering advice to this year’s group of rookie quarterbacks.
At one point in the interview, Gruden asked Daniels what music he listened to, and Daniels responded with R&B. Gruden then asked Daniels to name an artist, which he did: Chris Brown.
So, Gruden later posted a video on his X account playing Brown’s music in a dark room, apparently watching film, and even broke out into dancing. Check it out.
Jayden was right, this Chris Brown guy has me feelin’ NICEY
