And then there were two. The Oklahoma City Thunder will learn their Round 1 opponent by Friday night. It’ll either be the Memphis Grizzlies or the Dallas Mavericks.

The Grizzlies will have one last chance to clinch a playoff berth after their play-in tournament loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Mavericks survived an elimination game in a 120-106 win over the Kings on Wednesday.

The game wasn’t really that close, either. The Mavericks scored 44 points in the second quarter to balloon a 20-point lead. The Kings made things somewhat interesting in the second half, but never got it down to single-digit points.

Anthony Davis had 27 points and nine rebounds. Klay Thompson contributed with X points on X-of-X shooting. PJ Washington and Brandon Williams each had 17 points.

The Thunder will host Friday’s winner Sunday afternoon for Game 1 of the series. Regardless of the winner, OKC should enter as a heavy favorite to win it.
