The New Jersey Devils have announced that goaltender Nico Daws and forward Mike Hardman have been recalled from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Utica Comets.
Daws, 24, has been excellent when given the chance to play for the Devils this season. In five appearances with the NHL squad, he has a 3-0-0 record, a 0.88 goals-against average, and a .966 save percentage. With the Comets this campaign, he has an 11-20-2 record, a .893 save percentage, and a 3.16 goals-against average.
Hardman, 26, played in one game for the Devils this season, back on Dec. 2 against the Montreal Canadiens. During it, he recorded two blocks and two hits in 8:24 of ice time. He has been solid for Utica this season, as he has 18 goals and 35 points in 57 games.
These call-ups by the Devils come with the Metropolitan Division club set to play their regular-season finale against the Detroit Red Wings on April 16.
