There are just a few days to go before the Los Angeles Lakers begin their quest for their 18th NBA championship with Game 1 of their first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It will be the first time since 2012 that they have begun a playoff series at Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as Staples Center), and their fans will surely bring tons of energy and passion.
Game 1 on Saturday will start at 5:30 p.m. Pacific time and will be aired on ABC. The dates for all other games in the series have now been set, as well as the times for the first four contests.

The thing to note is that there will be two full days of rest before Game 2 and Game 5. That will be advantageous for a player such as LeBron James, who has 22 seasons of wear and tear and recently came back from a groin injury.
Arguably the best thing about having home-court advantage as far as the Lakers are concerned is that Game 5 (if necessary) will be in Los Angeles, as will Game 7, if this series reaches a Game 7.
