One of the 2025 NFL draft’s top wide receivers visited the Washington Commanders recently. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston, the Commanders hosted Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris.

Harris may not be receiving the same type of attention as Travis Hunter, Tetairoa McMillan, or Matthew Golden, but the 6-foot-2, 205-pound Harris is a borderline first-round prospect. In a draft where some question the depth at wide receiver, Harris could prove to be a steal.
Harris had an excellent college career, first at Louisiana Tech, before transferring to Ole Miss and dominating the SEC. In two seasons for the Rebels, Harris played in 20 games, caught 114 passes for 2,015 yards (17.7 yards per reception), and 15 touchdowns.
Don’t you think the Commanders could use that type of production?
In the pre-draft process, Harris stood out again, posting solid athletic testing numbers. Some even said he could be this year’s Brian Thomas Jr.
Harris is different from Washington’s current top receivers, Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel. He’s tall with a big frame and often wins deep. He makes plays after the catch, too.
Tre Harris Ranked 1st in the NATION in Receiving Yards Per Game (128.8)..
Before his injury Vs. LSU he was Averaging:
➖10.4 Targets (6th in CFB)
➖8.4 Receptions (2nd in CFB)
➖1.0 Receiving TD’s (3rd in CFB)Dudes 6’2, 205 lbs and was ALSO 1st in Yards Per Route Run.. (5.12) pic.twitter.com/JKbPbDI6wT

Next week’s draft will be full of surprises. While Harris isn’t in the first round of most mock drafts, he’s a first-round talent. The Commanders didn’t visit with a lot of receivers, so their intentions are clear. They like Harris, and they’re also looking for a bigger wideout who can win downfield, giving quarterback Jayden Daniels another versatile offensive weapon. Outside of Harris, Washington has mostly with slot types.
Thomas isn’t the only top NFL wide receiver to whom Harris has a similar profile.

Don’t discount Washington selecting Harris next week.
