The Dallas Cowboys could be looking to wheel and deal at the NFL draft, according to executive vice president Stephen Jones.

During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Jones indicated the team doesn’t seem to be in a spot to move up on draft night.

“I don’t necessarily see us moving up, based on the way the board is coming together,” Jones said. “But could see a situation where we move down.”

Jones pointed out that the Cowboys have experienced some good fortune just outside the top 10, pointing to more recent picks like Micah Parsons and Zach Martin.

He said in those cases, you just pick those good players, but also took some time to highlight the depth of the draft.

“I think there is some depth in this draft,” Jones said. “Maybe it’s not real top-heavy, in terms of top of the draft being inordinately strong, I think there’s some really good football players, don’t get me wrong, but I do think this draft you can get really good football players through the first half or even into the second half of the draft.”

Jones said they are happy with the team and called it a successful offseason. Now they can try to put the cherry on top by hitting on their picks at the 2025 NFL Draft.
