Giants general manager Joe Schoen has addressed his empty quarterback room this offseason by adding free agent veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston and also re-signing Tommy DeVito.
But one of Schoen’s goals was to add a rookie to the mix and develop him under the watchful eye of head coach Brian Daboll, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, position coach Shea Tierney, and assistant Chad Hall.
The 6-foot-3, 218-pound McCord began his college career at Ohio State, backing up C.J. Stroud. He transferred to Syracuse for his senior season and earned second-team All-ACC honors while throwing for 4,779 yards and 34 touchdowns for the Orange.
McCord is projected to be a late-Day 2, early-Day 3 selection at the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay next weekend.
