Everyone is replaceable. And when it comes to the Los Angeles Rams, general manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay will take a long and hard look at the roster throughout the 2025 season.

The Rams are fortunate in a lot of their players are young and are still developing. So, while the Rams may not have dearth of talent everywhere, the areas of concern don’t have a lot of money tied up in them. The 2025 NFL Draft could solve some of their issues, too. But in either event, some players will need to prove themselves this season if they want to make the team in 2026.

Here are four players who are in make or break situations heading into the 2025 season:

CB Cobie Durant

The former 2022 fourth-rounder is entering the final year of his rookie deal but has been up-and-down during his three seasons with the Rams. L.A.’s secondary needs work as a whole, but has proven to be solid when called upon.

The Rams’ cornerbacks are all on notice in 2025 with so many heading into uncertain futures. Akhello Witherspoon is on a one-year deal, while Darious Williams and Emmanuel Forbes have two seasons left on their deals. If the Rams draft a cornerback, one of these four will need to prove their worth, and Durant has the best case.

TE Colby Parkinson

Tight end is a need for the Rams because of how bad Parkinson was in 2024. He caught 30 of 49 targets for 294 yards and one touchdown but only have one game with more than four receptions. Parkinson also 11 games with one or no receptions.

Tyler Higbee is getting older and injury-prone at this point in his career. Parkinson was signed as a good backup and potential starter, but he’ll need to re-prove himself in 2025 if the Rams don’t add another tight end to the room.

CB Emmanuel Forbes

Forbes is a former first-rounder by the Washington Commanders, so he has the pedigree to be a star. The Rams took a gamble on him in 2024, but he only played in two games after being cut by his old team. Forbes didn’t intercept the ball and only tallied five tackles and defended one pass. Forbes is a cut candidate for next season if he can’t shine in 2025.

K Joshua Karty

Karty, the Rams’ 2024 sixth-rounder, had flashes of brilliance in 2024. He made 85.3% of his field goals but had a few bad misses throughout the season. Kickers are easily replaceable and Karty only needs one or two bad games to draw the ire of the coaching staff.
