Bucs Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson has been very vocal regarding the Buccaneers in recent weeks.
His most recent comments have come out with high praise for the Buccaneers’ 2025 draft class, saying that GM Jason Licht and company “got it right” with addressing pressing needs on the roster. He says, “While it’s hard to say if all these picks will work out, they definitely did a good job of picking players in positions they needed,” Jackson added. “Hopefully, they turn out to be the correct choice.”
Jackson is one of many in the media as former players who have come out with statements regarding the Buccaneers’ draft class, with many media outlets providing grades such as an A or B+, alluding to how the team’s biggest needs were addressed, some more than once.
Tampa Bay addressed their biggest need in cornerback both in the second and third round with Notre Dame’s Benjamin Morrison and Kansas State’s Jacob Parrish. They then tapped into the edge talent pool and selected Elijah Roberts and David Walker to bolster the pass rush for a Buccaneers team in the hunt for another Lombardi.
